Sweet Dreams

event details

Lisa is a young girl who loves going to school and spending time with her friends. However, she has a secret which she keeps from her friends and her teacher. Lisa is being abused at home.

A friendly wizard learns of Lisa’s problems at home and tries to help her. The wizard empowers Lisa and tells her to speak up, to ‘let someone know’. Lisa feels better and eventually talks to her teacher.

By coming forward, Lisa managed to help herself and her family. She can finally be happy again, to sleep peacefully and have sweet dreams.

Presented by The Necessary Stage and commissioned by the The National Family Violence Networking System (NFVNS), Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), this educational touring skit for primary schools nationwide aims to educate children on the issues of abuse and how they can protect themselves.
